TE DEUM, one of the composer’s last works (1692), was presumably written for the Jesuits principal church in Paris, St-Louis. The first movement is a martial fanfares that recur throughout the piece, notably in the ‘Prélude en Rondeau’, a movement familiar to European listeners as the EUROVISION theme tune.
