Francesco Consiglio is a Junior FPI Researcher and a PhD candidate in Philosophy of Mind at the Department of Philosophy I of the University of Granada. He is a member of the Unit of Excellence FiloLab. He has studied in the universities of Siena, Parma and Salamanca. During his studies, his research interests lay on Theory of Knowledge, Philosophy of Mind and Neuroscience; Cognitive Anthropology; History of Ancient, Medieval and Renaissance Philosophy and Aesthetics. More recently, his research has focused on the theory of collective intelligence.

He is a member of the Editorial Board of the scientific journal Disputatio. Philosophical Research Bulletin.

Areas of research

Study of the relation agent/group and individual/community in the emergence of a collective intelligence.

Focus on emergent coordination from massive practices of indirect environment-mediated mindshaping.

Study of the emergence in the context of a normative mechanism of the "cannon" type, artefact-driven (e.g. images) and with a prescriptive effect on group members.
