Our main challenge is the application of bioactive agents such as melatonin &amp; others in the medical field, especially diabesity in those situations involving increased oxidative stress, mitochondrial damage, and associated meta-inflammation.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e0e507a elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"e0e507a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We are interested and working in:\u00a0<\/span><br \/><br \/><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1.- Development of non-invasive, simple, and reliable methods to quantify thermogenesis and the participation coefficients of different tissues.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2.- Clarify the relevance of the components of MELATONIN &amp; diet in thermogenesis and if they involve the MUSCLE.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3.- DEVELOPMENT OF EFFECTIVE AND SAFE THERMOGENIC DRUGS\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">4.- Go in depth with research in ZDF rats with melatonin<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-checked=\"false\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Molecular mechanisms as a skeletal muscle thermogenesis inducer<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-checked=\"false\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Clarify SERCA-Sarcolipin- uncoupling\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-checked=\"false\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cardio &amp; Nephroprotective effects<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">5.- Proof of concept in humans<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">6.- Conducting observation studies in obese &amp; T2DM patients<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>RESEARCH We are a research group that has been studying the evaluation of new strategies in treating diabesity &amp; its complications.
