I have research and teaching experience in sedimentology and stratigraphy, petrology, marine geology, geophysics (GIS, multibeam bathymetry, sidescan sonar, seismic reflection, wireline logs) as well as sedimentary facies analysis and basin analysis
My research interest focuses on modern and ancient carbonate systems, especially interested in shelf-to-basin redeposition processes, submarine canyon systems and related turbidite systems, and submarine geomorphology. Currently, my research areas are southern Spain, Hawaii, and the eastern Australia margin, including the Great Barrier Reef. (go to current research)
