A cross-cultural comparison of music education experiences and ambitions in two Spanish and English primary schools, <em>International Journal of Music Education, 35<\/em>(3), 381-390.<\/h1>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-633\" src=\"http:\/\/wpd.ugr.es\/~arostegu\/wp-content\/uploads\/IJME.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"214\">Este art\u00edculo refiere un estudio comparativo a peque\u00f1a escala de la oferta educativo-musical de dos escuelas de Educaci\u00f3n Primaria, una en Espa\u00f1a y otra en Inglaterra. Se emplearon cuestionarios, entrevistas y se hicieron observaciones para indagar sobre las experiencias musicales de los ni\u00f1os y ni\u00f1as de estos dos Centros, sus expectativas de futuro hacia la m\u00fasica, as\u00ed como las pr\u00e1cticas de aula y los contextos normativos que perfilaron las experiencias de aprendizaje musical. A partir del an\u00e1lisis tem\u00e1tico y comparando datos provenientes de estas dos escuelas analizamos el lugar de la m\u00fasica en la vida de estos chicos y chicas dentro y fuera del aula, as\u00ed como sus ambiciones musicales y valores y, en definitiva, estudiamos lo bien que la m\u00fasica est\u00e1 sirviendo a los chicos y chicas de cada Centro. Nuestra investigaci\u00f3n muestra el valor de las comparaciones interculturales para tratar cuestiones clave sobre el prop\u00f3sito de la educaci\u00f3n musical y su disponibilidad en la escuela, con implicaciones que van m\u00e1s all\u00e1 del profesorado y alumnado de estos dos pa\u00edses.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/dx.doi.org\/10.1177\/0255761416667471\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ingl\u00e9s<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hardcastle, E., Pitts, S.
