text-align: justify;\"><strong>EDUCATION<\/strong>: Cristobal Lozano holds a <em><strong>BA<\/strong> in English Philology\u00a0<\/em>by the <strong>University of Granada<\/strong> (Spain), a <em><strong>Cert TESOL<\/strong> (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages)<\/em> by <strong>Trinity College London<\/strong>, an <em><strong>MA<\/strong> in Second Language Learning<\/em> by <strong>University of Herfordshire<\/strong> (UK), and a <em><strong>PhD<\/strong> in Second Language Acquisition<\/em> by the <strong>University of Essex<\/strong> (UK) under the supervision of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.essex.ac.uk\/langling\/staff\/profile.aspx?ID=77\">Roger Hawkins<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px; text-align: justify;\"><strong>WORK EXPERIENCE<\/strong>: Crist\u00f3bal worked at the <strong>University of Hertfordshire<\/strong>\u00a0(UK) as a Spanish Language Assistant. During his PhD, he worked at <strong>Essex University<\/strong>\u00a0(UK) as a graduate teaching assistant and later as a teaching fellow. He then moved to the <strong>Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Madrid<\/strong> (Spain) as a postdoctoral researcher (first with a postdoc scholarship and later with a &#8216;Juan de la Cierva&#8217; contract) to work with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.researchgate.net\/profile\/Amaya_Mendikoetxea\">Amaya Mendikoetxea<\/a>. He worked there on Learner Corpora. After a brief stay at the <strong>Universidad de Castilla La Mancha<\/strong> as a assistant professor in English language, he moved to the <strong>Universidad de Granada\u00a0<\/strong>(Spain) in 2006, where he is currently an associate professor in applied linguistics. In 2017 he obtained a Fulbright visiting researcher scholarship to work with <a href=\"http:\/\/sip.la.psu.edu\/directory\/ped10\">Paola Dussias<\/a> at <strong>Penn State University<\/strong> (USA) .<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px; text-align: justify;\"><strong>RESEARCH<\/strong>: He has published internationally on several areas of <a href=\"http:\/\/wpd.ugr.es\/~cristoballozano\/?page_id=7\">learner corpora and second language acquisition<\/a>, particularly on L2 English and L2 Spanish. He directs\u00a0the <a href=\"http:\/\/wpd.ugr.es\/~cristoballozano\/?page_id=64\">CEDEL2<\/a> corpus (L2 Spanish Written Corpus) since 2006. He has been Principal Investigator (PI) of research projects on second language acquisition and learner corpora (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.researchgate.net\/project\/ANACOR-A-corpus-based-approach-to-anaphora-resolution-in-second-language-acquisition-beyond-the-interfaces\">ANACOR<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.researchgate.net\/project\/ANACOREX-Anaphora-and-referring-expressions-in-bilingualism-Triangulating-corpus-and-experimental-approaches\">ANACOREX<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px; text-align: justify;\"><strong>TEACHING<\/strong>: Crist\u00f3bal has taught extensively on second language acquisition, psycholinguistics, bilingualism and learner corpora at the Universities of Essex, Hertfordhire and Universidad de Granada..
