Tiene su origen en el Departamento de Informaci\u00f3n y Comunicaci\u00f3n. Centra su trabajo en el <strong>an\u00e1lisis cuantitativo de la actividad cient\u00edfica<\/strong> con un enfoque en la bibliometr\u00eda evaluativa, las m\u00e9tricas alternativas y la evaluaci\u00f3n de trayectorias investigadoras. <strong>Trata de combinar el rigor cuantitativo con una mirada cr\u00edtica <\/strong>sobre c\u00f3mo se mide y se comunica la ciencia hoy en d\u00eda. El grupo mantiene una actividad constante de investigaci\u00f3n, formaci\u00f3n y transferencia de conocimiento, y ha dado lugar a proyectos e <strong>iniciativas propias como EC3metrics<\/strong>, su spin-off dedicada al asesoramiento para instituciones e investigadores.
