Cristina Armas, PhD, is a Ram\u00f3n y Cajal researcher at the Department of Evolutionary and Functional Ecology in the Experimental Station of Arid Zones (CSIC).<\/p>\n

I am a plant functional ecologist with particular interest in dryland ecosystems. My main research topic pivots on biotic interactions, using plants and plant communities as models of study, covering a range of interactions ranging from plant-environment to plant-plant and plant-soil (soil community) interactions. In EVOFLOR, I am currently collaborating in a project on genetic assimilation in the Moricandia<\/em> genus, in which we will analyze, both through observational and experimental analyses, the existence and possible mechanisms of intra-individual functional and photosynthetic plasticity in different species of Moricandia sp<\/em> in the Iberian Peninsula.<\/p>\n
