{"id":713,"date":"2026-07-07T12:53:44","date_gmt":"2026-07-07T10:53:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wpd.ugr.es\/~farbioq\/?page_id=713"},"modified":"2026-07-07T12:54:48","modified_gmt":"2026-07-07T10:54:48","slug":"pseudomonas-aeruginosa","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/wpd.ugr.es\/~farbioq\/pseudomonas-aeruginosa\/","title":{"rendered":"Pseudomonas Aeruginosa"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-image uagb-block-f4f5c96f wp-block-uagb-image--layout-default wp-block-uagb-image--effect-static wp-block-uagb-image--align-none\"><figure class=\"wp-block-uagb-image__figure\"><img decoding=\"async\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wpd.ugr.es\/~farbioq\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/pseudimonas-2.jpg ,https:\/\/wpd.ugr.es\/~farbioq\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/pseudimonas-2.jpg 780w, https:\/\/wpd.ugr.es\/~farbioq\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/pseudimonas-2.jpg 360w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 480px) 150px\" src=\"https:\/\/wpd.ugr.es\/~farbioq\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/pseudimonas-2.jpg\" alt=\"pseudimonas 2\" class=\"uag-image-715\" width=\"480\" height=\"240\" title=\"pseudimonas 2\" loading=\"lazy\" role=\"img\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Esta l\u00ednea de investigaci\u00f3n se centra en el estudio de los mecanismos moleculares que permiten a las bacterias adaptar su fisiolog\u00eda a las condiciones cambiantes del entorno mediante la coordinaci\u00f3n de la expresi\u00f3n g\u00e9nica en respuesta a se\u00f1ales ambientales y metab\u00f3licas. <em>Pseudomonas aeruginosa<\/em> constituye uno de los principales modelos de estudio del grupo debido a su relevancia cl\u00ednica como pat\u00f3geno oportunista, su elevada capacidad de adaptaci\u00f3n y su creciente resistencia a los antibi\u00f3ticos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los trabajos desarrollados han contribuido a la identificaci\u00f3n y caracterizaci\u00f3n de nuevos reguladores transcripcionales y mecanismos de interacci\u00f3n prote\u00edna-ADN implicados en el control de rutas metab\u00f3licas, sistemas de transporte, procesos de adaptaci\u00f3n fisiol\u00f3gica, resistencia a antimicrobianos y factores de virulencia. Estas investigaciones han permitido avanzar en la comprensi\u00f3n de c\u00f3mo <em>Pseudomonas aeruginosa<\/em> integra se\u00f1ales ambientales y metab\u00f3licas para optimizar su supervivencia, colonizaci\u00f3n y capacidad patog\u00e9nica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De forma particular, el grupo ha realizado aportaciones relevantes al conocimiento de reguladores transcripcionales como PtxS, PtxR, GntR, GltR\/GltS y otros factores reguladores que desempe\u00f1an un papel esencial en el control del metabolismo y la virulencia en especies del g\u00e9nero <em>Pseudomonas<\/em>. Los resultados obtenidos han contribuido al establecimiento de nuevas bases conceptuales sobre la conexi\u00f3n entre metabolismo bacteriano, adaptaci\u00f3n al hu\u00e9sped y desarrollo de infecciones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La actividad cient\u00edfica desarrollada en este \u00e1mbito ha generado una s\u00f3lida producci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica internacional, con publicaciones en revistas de referencia como <em>Nucleic Acids Research<\/em>, <em>Environmental Microbiology<\/em>, <em>Journal of Bacteriology<\/em> y <em>Microbial Biotechnology<\/em>, consolidando al grupo como un referente internacional en el estudio de los mecanismos de regulaci\u00f3n gen\u00e9tica, la biolog\u00eda molecular bacteriana y las relaciones entre metabolismo y virulencia en <em>Pseudomonas<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Proyectos de investigaci\u00f3n<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 <strong>Pseudomonas y la paradoja del tolueno<\/strong> (2007-2011).
