{"id":408,"date":"2016-11-17T02:06:48","date_gmt":"2016-11-17T01:06:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wdb.ugr.es\/~fperfect\/?p=408"},"modified":"2016-11-17T02:20:12","modified_gmt":"2016-11-17T01:20:12","slug":"mercedes-tfm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wpd.ugr.es\/~fperfect\/index.php\/2016\/11\/17\/mercedes-tfm\/","title":{"rendered":"Nectar microbiome in simpatric and allopatric populations of the genus Erysimum"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mercedes S\u00e1nchez defended her TFM -Trabajo Fin de M\u00e1ster- with great success.\u00a0<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-410\" src=\"http:\/\/wdb.ugr.es\/~fperfect\/wp-content\/uploads\/TFM-MSanchez.jpg\" alt=\"TFM-MSanchez\" width=\"600\" height=\"849\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wpd.ugr.es\/~fperfect\/wp-content\/uploads\/TFM-MSanchez.jpg 600w, https:\/\/wpd.ugr.es\/~fperfect\/wp-content\/uploads\/TFM-MSanchez-212x300.jpg 212w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In her Master Thesis entitled &#8220;<em>The nectar microbiome in simpatric and allopatric populations of the genus Erysimum<\/em>&#8221; \u00a0she reported that species ascription is more important that simpatry\/alopatry in explaining differences in the microbioma present in the flower nectar.<\/p>\n<p>Mercedes did this research using several species of the wallflower genus <em>Erysimum<\/em>, from which she managed to extract and amplify DNA from bacterias inhabiting the nectar.
