A partir de ellas se llevar\u00e1 a cabo por primera vez un estudio de la descarga submarina en estas zonas lo que permitir\u00e1 considerar las reservas de agua dulce en periodos de sequ\u00eda. Ha sido financiado por la Junta de Andaluc\u00eda, la Consejer\u00eda de Universidad, Investigaci\u00f3n e Innovaci\u00f3n y el Gobierno de Espa\u00f1a y&nbsp; por la Uni\u00f3n Europea \u2013 NextGenerationEU mediante el proyecto PCM_00018 y estar\u00e1 activo durante el periodo 2024-2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wpd.ugr.es\/~hidrogeo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Imagen14.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-138\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Resumen<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>El aprovechamiento \u00f3ptimo de los recursos de acu\u00edferos costeros tiene gran impacto social y econ\u00f3mico e incide en el desarrollo de las zonas litorales, con elevada densidad de poblaci\u00f3n y explotaci\u00f3n agr\u00edcola. La costa constituye una frontera en el conocimiento con elevado inter\u00e9s cient\u00edfico debido a la diferencia en las t\u00e9cnicas de estudio en tierra y en mar que impiden determinar con detalle esta zona de conexi\u00f3n. El proyecto META analizar\u00e1 de forma integral los acu\u00edferos costeros mediante una metodolog\u00eda innovadora. Se seleccionar\u00e1n zonas para el an\u00e1lisis en detalle de los acu\u00edferos detr\u00edticos con elevada y escasa recarga, as\u00ed como acu\u00edferos cuyo comportamiento est\u00e1 condicionado por variaciones en la profundidad del basamento. Adem\u00e1s, se analizar\u00e1n acu\u00edferos en macizos carbonatados donde el flujo est\u00e1 determinado por la karstificaci\u00f3n y fracturaci\u00f3n. Estos acu\u00edferos representan los diferentes tipos que se reconocen en la costa mediterr\u00e1nea andaluza. La metodolog\u00eda propuesta determinar\u00e1 sucesivamente la estructura del acu\u00edfero; la distribuci\u00f3n de agua dulce y salada y su evoluci\u00f3n temporal; la caracterizaci\u00f3n de las surgencias submarinas de agua dulce; para finalmente integrar el conjunto en modelos num\u00e9ricos hidrogeol\u00f3gicos para evaluar sus reservas, considerando los acu\u00edferos como un continuo tierra-mar. Los m\u00e9todos utilizados ser\u00e1n multidisciplinares, con el uso de t\u00e9cnicas geol\u00f3gicas, geof\u00edsicas e hidrogeol\u00f3gicas en medio terrestre y marino. Debido a la informaci\u00f3n limitada sobre reservas de agua dulce en la franja litoral, se desarrollar\u00e1 nuevo instrumental para el muestreo de rad\u00f3n, temperatura y salinidad adaptado a las necesidades de esta zona, cr\u00edtica para el funcionamiento hidrogeol\u00f3gico y de los ecosistemas costeros.
