I am pleased to announce the opening of four postdoctoral positions within the project “Chow Ring of Toric Arrangements” at the University of Bologna. All candidates with a background in Combinatorics, Topology, or Algebra are warmly encouraged to apply.
Each position has a duration of two years, with no teaching duties and a gross salary of EUR39,000 per year plus benefits. Bologna offers a high quality of life with a relatively moderate cost of living.
Over the next three years, the research group on toric arrangements will expand significantly, with the recruitment of ten new researchers. The group currently includes Prof. Roberto Pagaria (Principal Investigator), Prof. Giovanni Paolini, and myself. About 30 people in the Department work on different aspects of Geometry, Topology, Algebra, or Combinatorics.

The application deadline is June 7, and the expected starting date is Fall 2026 (with some flexibility).
As a formal eligibility requirement, candidates must have obtained their Master’s degree no more than six years prior to the application deadline. For candidates who earned a PhD without a Master’s degree, the six-year period is counted from the date of the PhD.
