2023 Call<\/strong><\/p>\n

Provisional lists of admitted applicants<\/a><\/p>\n

The Institute of Mathematics of the University of Granada (IMAG) offers four postdoctoral research positions<\/strong> with directed research topics. These positions will be supported by IMAG Excellence Seal \u201cMar\u00eda de Maeztu\u201d<\/strong> with reference CEX2020-001105-M. This call has been published the seventeen of March of 2023 in the BOJA<\/a> (Bolet\u00edn Oficial de la Junta de Andaluc\u00eda), with modification of the twenty-eight of March<\/a> and in the web site of the Vicerrectorado de Investigaci\u00f3n y Transferencia de la UGR<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\nResearch topics:<\/strong> Open to the following research lines, one contract per line: <\/p>\n

  • Modelling and differential equations<\/li>\n
  • Geometric and physical shapes<\/li>\n
  • Linear and non-linear infinite-dimensional analysis<\/li>\n
  • Statistics and operational research<\/li>\n

    REQUIREMENTS<\/u><\/strong>
    \nApplicants must hold a doctoral degree (mathematics, computer science, physics or related fields will be specially valued). The PhD thesis defense of the candidate must be after January 1st, 2015. Applications will also be accepted from candidates who are expected to obtain a PhD degree by October 31, 2023. The PhD title and academic certification must be issued or translated into Spanish or English.<\/p>\n

    Candidates must have obtained their doctoral thesis from a university other than the University of Granada, or have spent the last academic year outside of Granada at the moment of application. <\/p>\n

    The applicant\u2019s CV must reflect a promising research career, with good interpersonal skills; ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative research team; excellent skills to communicate research outcomes in written and spoken form. It will be especially valuable the intention of applying to international research funding calls (ERC and similar ones).<\/p>\n

    We are working to improve the present gender balance within the IMAG, and particularly welcome applications from women.<\/p>\n

    HOW TO APPLY<\/u><\/strong>
    \nApplications must be digitally registered at the electronic office of the University of Granada, in the procedure: “Investigaci\u00f3n: Contratos con cargo a Grupos, Proyectos y Convenios”, which will be available soon online This procedure will be mandatory for all persons in possession of a Spanish digital certificate.<\/p>\n

    When submitting the documentation at the electronic office of the University of Granada, an official Spanish digital certificate will be required. If you do not have this digital certificate, a signed authorization (see below) is alternatively required so that IMAG staff can register your application. This authorization, along with the rest of the required documentation, must be sent no later than April 13 2013 to the email address imag@ugr.es<\/a>, indicating in the subject field “IMAG 2023 – Junior\/Senior Postdoctoral fellowships”.<\/p>\n

    REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

  • Application Form<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  • Full CV, in free format, including a complete publication list and ORCID identifier.<\/li>\n
  • PhD accreditation, or failing that, a document justifying that the defense of the doctoral thesis will take place before October 31, 2023.<\/li>\n
  • Title and brief description of the research project, including reasons for carrying it out at Granada, in free format (max. 2 pages).<\/li>\n
  • Two reference letters. Candidates should arrange for these letters to be sent directly to imag@ugr.es<\/a> by the persons who will provide the references. Reference letters will be accepted until April 30, 2023.<\/li>\n
  • Authorization<\/a> (only for those who do not have a Spanish digital certificate).<\/li>\n

    The period for submitting applications will begin on March 18 2023, and will end on April 18 2023 at 23:59 GMT+2. <\/p>\n
