{"id":1377,"date":"2026-09-24T12:25:56","date_gmt":"2026-09-24T10:25:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wpd.ugr.es\/~legabo\/?p=1377"},"modified":"2026-09-24T12:41:22","modified_gmt":"2026-09-24T10:41:22","slug":"1377","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wpd.ugr.es\/~legabo\/en\/2026\/09\/24\/1377\/","title":{"rendered":"Project researchers participate in the international conference \u00abReproductive politics in the Atlantic space\u00bb"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">On <strong>September 24 and 25<\/strong>, the Institute of Contemporary History (INZ) is hosting the international conference <em>Reproductive politics in the Atlantic space: advances (and reversals) from the postwar period to the present<\/em> in Ljubljana, Slovenia.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The conference brings together researchers from different disciplines to examine, from a comparative perspective, the development of reproductive politics and sexual and reproductive rights from the postwar period to the present. It focuses on how these rights were defined, claimed, institutionalized, and contested in different contexts, addressing both advances and setbacks as well as the connections between different national experiences.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-1379 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/wpd.ugr.es\/~legabo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Captura-de-pantalla-2026-09-24-a-las-12.10.46-1-212x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"316\" height=\"447\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wpd.ugr.es\/~legabo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Captura-de-pantalla-2026-09-24-a-las-12.10.46-1-212x300.png 212w, https:\/\/wpd.ugr.es\/~legabo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Captura-de-pantalla-2026-09-24-a-las-12.10.46-1-725x1024.png 725w, https:\/\/wpd.ugr.es\/~legabo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Captura-de-pantalla-2026-09-24-a-las-12.10.46-1-768x1084.png 768w, https:\/\/wpd.ugr.es\/~legabo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Captura-de-pantalla-2026-09-24-a-las-12.10.46-1.png 772w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 316px) 100vw, 316px\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><strong>Two researchers from our project are participating in the conference with two presentations:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-spread=\"true\">\n<li><strong>Agata Ignaciuk<\/strong> (University of Granada, History of Science \/ Gender Studies) is participating in <strong>Panel 5: \u201cFraming Reproductive Rights within Socialism\u201d<\/strong>, with the paper <em>\u201cArtificial\u201d Miscarriage: \u201cOld\u201d and \u201cNew\u201d Abortion Technologies in Communist Poland<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mar\u00eda Mundi-L\u00f3pez<\/strong> (University of Granada \/ School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences, Paris) is participating in <strong>Panel 7: \u201cAbortion Technologies and Access\u201d<\/strong>, with the paper <em>Medication Abortion: (Co)productions of Knowledge at the Crossroads of Medical, Militant and Lay Practices (1980\u20132020)<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The conference brings together different historical experiences from Europe and beyond to explore continuities and ruptures in struggles for reproductive rights, as well as the connections between diverse political, social, and healthcare contexts.<\/p>\n<p>The conference is being held in <strong>Ljubljana<\/strong>, a particularly relevant setting given Slovenia\u2019s history of reproductive rights struggles, from the period of socialist Yugoslavia to the present.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On September 24 and 25, the Institute of Contemporary History (INZ) is hosting the international conference Reproductive politics in the Atlantic space: advances (and reversals) from the postwar period to the present in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
