Los efectos de estos cambios primero fueron resueltos por Franz Hofmeister, que estudiaron los efectos de cationes y aniones en la solubilidad de prote\u00ednas. Hofmeister descubri\u00f3 una serie de sales que tienen efectos consistentes sobre la solubilidad de prote\u00ednas y (fue descubierto m\u00e1s adelante) sobre la estabilidad de sus secundaria y estructura terciaria. Parecen tener un efecto m\u00e1s grande que los cationes, aniones. El mecanismo de Hofmeister serie no est\u00e1 completamente claro, pero no parece resultar de cambios en general la estructura de agua, en su lugar interacciones m\u00e1s espec\u00edficas entre los iones y las prote\u00ednas y los iones y las mol\u00e9culas de agua directamente en contacto con las prote\u00ednas pueden ser m\u00e1s importantes.<sup><br \/><\/sup><\/p><p><strong>PUBLICACIONES<\/strong><\/p><p>[6] A.
