Dr. Miguel A. Galindo<\/mark> (Research Group Coordinator\u200b)<\/mark><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Miguel A. is an Associate Prof. (Senior Lecturer) at the Universidad<\/a> d<\/a>e Granada (UGR)<\/a> since 2017. He completed his Doctoral Thesis (2006) in the Department of Inorganic Chemistry of UGR. He then began postdoctoral research in the Chemical Nanoscience Laboratory group of Prof. Andrew Houlton (Newcastle University, UK) where he enjoyed a Marie Curie IEF until 2011. He then returned to UGR with a Marie Curie RG and initiated his independent career in the field of bioinorganic chemistry, mainly focused on the study of new metal-DNA systems. Dr. Manuel P\u00e9rez Mendoza<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Manuel is a Prof. (Senior Lecturer) at the University of Granada (UGR)<\/a> since 2010. After finishing his Doctoral Thesis in 2001 he moved to the University of Edinburgh (UK) to join Prof. Seaton’s group, working on porous nanomaterials. In 2004, after working at the National Coal Institute (Oviedo, Spain) in the preparation of activated carbon nanofibers, he joined the HYMOSSES EU project at the Carbon Chemistry Institute (Zaragoza, Spain) to develop carbon nanomaterials (CNMs) with applications in hydrogen storage. In 2004 he was awarded a Ramon y Cajal Fellowship, returning to the UGR in 2005. Since then, he has developed his independent career leading projects related to the synthesis and functionalization of CNMs and their applications. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Alicia Dom\u00ednguez-Mart\u00edn<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alicia is an Associate Prof. (Senior Lecturer) at Universidad de Granada (UGR)<\/a>. She completed her Doctoral Thesis in 2013 in the Department of Inorganic Chemistry at UGR. She developed her postdoctoral position at the University of Zurich in the Laboratory of Prof. Roland K.O. Sigel until 2017, a time during which she was awarded different grants, including brief mobility to the Slovenian NMR center with Prof. J. Plavec (Ljubljana, 2014). She returned to UGR in 2017, where she started her independent career working on the characterization of metal-DNA interactions and the cocrystallization of drugs.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Dr. F\u00e1tima Linares-Ordo\u00f1ez<\/mark> <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

F\u00e1tima is the head of the Atomic Force Microscopy Unit (AFM<\/a>) at the Center for Scientific Instrumentation of the University of Granada (UGR) since 2016. She completed her Doctoral Thesis in the Department of Inorganic and Organic Chemistry of the University of Ja\u00e9n. In January 2008, she joined the UGR as a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Inorganic Chemistry. Her research activities include stays at the University of Stuttgart, Germany (2005) and the University of Insubria, Italy ( 2009). Her current research interest lies in the field of scanning probe microscopy of DNA-metal systems and the physical properties of surfaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
