BA in Fine Arts from the Basque Country University in 1988. Doctor of Fine Arts from Granada University in 1993. As an artist he has periodically held both individual and group exhibitions whilst undertaking his university teaching and research work. In recent years, through the Permanent Seminar of Contemporary Art, he has organized workshops, studies and conferences with the collaboration of numerous experts in theory and artistic creation.
In close relationship with his personal work, he publishes the following books: Citizens, Identity and Difference, 2018. Dissidents, Resistance behaviors in Art, 2018. The artistic object: Reflection and method, in 1994 and Architecture of the trip, in 1995. From the outset his artistic career has expressed the central topics of his research; the phenomenon of limits, ambiguity in traditional art disciplines and the approach to the artistic task from a fundamentally conceptual and anthropological point of view. From his individual exhibitions we can highlight. Arcades Project, Painting, sculpture and photography exhibition. Juan Bravo Culture Hall in Madrid in 1999. This project supposes an important change and the start of an artistic career that continues to date. From the questioning of the role undertaken by the image through to the construction processes of a look, there is a recurrent interest in uncovering the contradictions that help us situate ourselves in the face of artistic work and, therefore, in the face of reality. Recently the work with images has given way to a greater protagonism of the text through signs and models of the spaces and places. The writ ten word takes the place of the image. During this time he has also participated in numerous group exhibitions in Shows, Biennials and Competitions. He has been awarded numerous prizes and distinctions and his artwork forms part of both private and public collections.

Licenciado en Bellas Artes en la Universidad del País Vasco en 1988. Doctor en Bellas Artes en la Universidad de Granada en 1993. Como profesional del arte ha realizado periódicamente exposiciones individuales y colectivas simultaneando el trabajo profesional en el arte con el de la Docencia y la Investigación en el ámbito universitario. Así en estos años a través del Seminario Permanente de Arte Contemporáneo organiza talleres, ciclos y conferencias con un amplio número de personalidades de la teoría y de la creación artística entre los que destacan: Victoria Combalía, Eugenio Trías, Félix Duque, Simón Marchán Fiz, Francisco Jarauta, José Jiménez, Fernando Castro, Nacho Criado, Manuel Saiz, etc.
En una estrecha relación con su obra personal publica los libros: Ciudadanos. Identidad y Diferencia, 2018. Disidencias. Comportamientos de resistencia en el arte, 2018. El objeto artístico: Reflexión y método, de 1994 y La arquitectura del viaje, de 1995. Su trayectoria artística ha puesto de manifiesto desde un principio los temas principales de su investigación; el fenómeno del límite, la ambigüedad entre las tradicionales disciplinas del arte y el enfrentamiento a la tarea del arte desde un punto de vista fundamentalmente conceptual y antropológico. Podemos destacar de entre sus exposiciones individuales: Arcades Proyect, Exposición de pintura, escultura y fotografía. Sala de Cultura Juan Bravo de Madrid en 1999. Este proyecto supone un cambio importante y un inicio de un recorrido artístico que continua en la actualidad. Desde cuestionamiento del papel que desempeña la imagen, pasando por los procesos de construcción de la mirada, hay un interés recurrente por evidenciar las contradicciones que nos ayudan a situarnos frente al hecho artístico y por extensión a la realidad. De manera más reciente el trabajo con las imágenes ha dado paso a un mayor protagonismo del texto a través de letreros, señales y maquetas de espacios y lugares. La palabra escrita pasa a ocupar el lugar de la imagen. En todos estos años ha participado en un gran número de exposiciones colectivas con motivo de Muestras, Bienales y Certámenes. Ha recibido numerosos premios y distinciones y su obra se encuentra representada en colecciones públicas y privadas.
