PhD in Fine Arts at the University of Granada, he currently develops his teaching and research work in the Department of Drawing at the University of Granada. Between 2008-2018 he has been a professor in the Department of Art and Architecture at the University of Malaga. Since 2018 he is the editorial director of the scientific journal «Umática. Revista sobre creación y análisis de la imagen« (ISSN 2659-5354) edited by the publication service of the University of Málaga. Since 2015 he directs together with Dr. Juan Aguilar the editorial project «El Intercambiador-Express» (ISSN 2530-0806). «El Intercambiador-Express» is a periodical magazine of dissemination on design and visual culture of Andalusian scope.
Designer and typographer. Some of his typographic projects have been recognized with awards in the category of «best typography for body text», such as Malacitana© and Malacitana Sans© (Clap Platinum 2020 and Anuaria Gold 2020) or Dispar© (Anuaria Gold 2022).

Doctor en Bellas Artes por la Universidad de Granada, actualmente desarrolla su labor docente e investigadora en el Departamento de Dibujo de la Universidad de Granada. Entre 2008-2018 ha sido profesor en el Departamento de Arte y Arquitectura de la Universidad de Málaga. Desde 2018 es director editorial de la revista científica “Umática. Revista sobre creación y análisis de la imagen” (ISSN 2659-5354) editada por el servicio de publicaciones de la Universidad de Málaga. Desde 2015 dirige junto al Dr. Juan Aguilar el proyecto editorial “El Intercambiador-Express” (ISSN 2530-0806). “El Intercambiador-Express” es un magazine periódico de divulgación sobre diseño y cultura visual de ámbito andaluz.
Diseñador y tipógrafo. Algunos de sus proyectos tipográficos ha sido reconocidos con premios en la categoría de «»mejor tipografía para cuerpo de texto»», como es el caso de Malacitana© y Malacitana Sans© (Clap Platino 2020 y Anuaria Oro 2020) o Dispar© (Anuaria Oro 2022).
