Jose Luis Lozano. Motril (Granada), 1985.
His work reflects on the use of new digital tools in the process of artistic creation. His research work revolves around the use of new surveillance technologies both in the field of education and artistic creation. His projects explore the relationship between cities, territory and spaces of power and the way contemporary citizens inhabit them, reflecting on how the development of cities modifies social patterns and determines our relationship with the environment. As a researcher he questions the limits between public and private space, analyzing political cartographies and the study of border notions and the dichotomy between the local and the global.
Graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Granada in 2007 and PhD in Fine Arts from the University of Granada in 2012. Scholarship of University Collaboration in the Department of Drawing, Ministry of Education (2006/2007). Research Fellowship of the Research Plan (FPI) of the Vice-Rectorate for Research of the University of Granada (2008/2012) Postdoctoral Fellowship of the Research Plan (FPI) of the Vice-Rectorate for Research of the University of Granada (2012/2013). She has carried out teaching and research stays in different Institutions and Art Centers of National and International scope such as University College London. Bentham Project, the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Basque Country, the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow (Poland), the Auschwitz-Birkenau Concentration Camp, the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich (Germany) and the Instituto Superior de Arte ISA in Havana, Cuba, among others. Since 2007 she has been a member of the SICA Research Group New Materials for Contemporary Art at the University of Granada. In 2008 he began his teaching and research activity in the Department of Painting at the University of Granada until 2014 and will continue as Professor and Researcher in the Department of Art in the area of Painting in the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University Miguel Hernández of Elche until 2021. He is currently Professor in the Department of Painting at the University of Granada. Since 2017 he is a member of the Research Group Media Archaeology and Artistic Practice at the Miguel Hernández University of Elche.

Su obra reflexiona sobre el uso de las nuevas herramientas digitales en el proceso de la creación artística. Su trabajo de investigación gira en torno al uso de las nuevas tecnologías de la vigilancia tanto en el campo de la educación como para la creación artística. Sus proyectos exploran la relación entre las ciudades, el territorio y los espacios de poder y la manera que tiene el ciudadano contemporáneo de habitarlas, reflexionando sobre cómo el desarrollo de las urbes modifica patrones sociales y determina nuestra relación con el entorno. Como investigador cuestiona los límites entre el espacio público y el espacio privado, analizando las cartografías políticas y el estudio sobre las nociones de frontera y la dicotomía como lo local y lo global.
Licenciado en Bellas Artes por la Universidad de Granada en el año 2007 y Doctor en Bellas Artes por la Universidad de Granada en 2012. Beca de Colaboración Universitaria en el Departamento de Dibujo, Ministerio de Educación (2006/2007). Beca de Investigación del Plan Propio de Investigación (FPI) del Vicerrectorado de Investigación de la Universidad de Granada (2008/2012) Beca Postdoctoral del Plan Propio de Investigación (FPI) del Vicerrectorado de Investigación de la Universidad de Granada (2012/2013). Ha realizado estancias docentes y de investigación en diferentes Instituciones y Centros de Arte de ámbito Nacional e Internacional como University College London. Bentham Project, la Facultad de Bellas Artes del País Vasco, Academia de Bellas Artes de Cracovia (Polonia), en el Campo de Concentración de Auschwitz-Birkenau, en el Museo Guggenheim de Bilbao, la Academia de Bellas Artes de Múnich (Alemania) y el Instituto Superior de Arte ISA de la Habana, Cuba, entre otros. Desde el año 2007 es miembro del Grupo de Investigación del SICA Nuevos Materiales para el Arte Contemporáneo de la Universidad de Granada hasta la actualidad. En el año 2008 inicia su actividad docente e investigadora en el Departamento de Pintura de la Universidad de Granada hasta el año 2014 y que continuará como Profesor e Investigador en el Departamento de Arte en el área de Pintura de la Facultad de Bellas Artes de la Universidad Miguel Hernández de Elche hasta el año 2021. Actualmente es Profesor del Departamento de Pintura de la Universidad de Granada. Desde el año 2017 es miembro del Grupo de Investigación Arqueología de los Medios y Práctica Artística de la Universidad Miguel Hernández de Elche.
