PDE MANS 2014

This workshop addresses the last advances on PDEs which describe a wide range of problems on several fields (physics, biology, social sciences, …) from three point of views: modelling, analysis and numerical simulations.

The workshop brings together specialists from several relevant research institutions with the goal of describing different techniques and results which are being used nowadays and starting new lines of research between the participants.

OBJECTIVES

The aims of this workshop are two:

1. As starting point, to learn the lastest advances on PDEs, which describe a wide range of problems on physic (the behavior of gases, aggregation phenomena, plasma physics, and the evolution of galaxies, semiconductor theory, …), biology (neurosciences, animal swarming, shallow water, …), social sciences (opinion formation, social behavior, financial markets, …), …

2. And, as final intention, to promote the collaborations between the participants, which will produce new developments.

With this object, the workshop addresses these PDEs from three points of view: modelling, analysis and numerical simulations. As a consequence, a dissection about the different techniques and results, which are being used nowadays, will be described and allow to commence new lines of research, between the participants.
