{"id":14,"date":"2024-06-19T17:11:47","date_gmt":"2024-06-19T17:11:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wpd.ugr.es\/~ritore\/wordpress\/?page_id=14"},"modified":"2024-07-30T11:17:48","modified_gmt":"2024-07-30T11:17:48","slug":"welcome","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/wpd.ugr.es\/~ritore\/","title":{"rendered":"Welcome"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>This is my academic web page at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ugr.es\">University of Granada<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I am full professor at the <a href=\"http:\/\/geometry.ugr.es\">Department of Geometry and Topology<\/a> and principal investigator of the MEC-Feder research group <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ugr.es\/~isoperimetric\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Geometric Variational Problems<\/a>, former coordinator of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ugr.es\/~reag\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Spanish Network of Geometric Analysis<\/a> and of the Research Unit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.modelingnature.org\/\">Modeling Nature<\/a>, and member of the research group <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ugr.es\/~gipvg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FQM 325<\/a>, funded by the Junta de Andaluc\u00eda. Currently I am working on partitioning problems for Euclidean convex sets and variational problems related to the area functional in sub-Riemannian manifolds, with special interest in contact manifolds and Heisenberg groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2012, I am the Journal Editor of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.degruyter.com\/view\/j\/agms\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Analysis and Geometry in Metric Spaces<\/a>, a journal devoted to the publication of cutting-edge research on geometric and analytic problems in metric spaces published by <a href=\"http:\/\/degruyteropen.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">De Gruyter<\/a>.
