Undergraduate and master students
AD®ULT offers annually limited positions for students to conduct their final work of the undergraduate school or the master. Students with the highest scores can get a fellowship of the Ministry of Education or the Vicerectorate of Research to have the first contact with the research life.
PhD students
The University of Granada is the national leader in the FPU program, which provide the higher number of fellowships for PhD students in Spain. AD®ULT has a strong success in the FPU Program. Also, AD®ULT has support from other fellowship programs for PhD students, such as FPI program, the Andalusia Government program and the own program of the Vicerrectorate of Research of the University of Granada. Our PhD students are incorporated to the Doctorate Program of Biomedicine, Doctorate Program of Nutrition and Science of Food, Doctorate Program of Clinical Medicine and Public Health or Doctorate Program of Fundamental Biology. These doctorate programs include specific scientific and technology courses and a variety of seminars and conferences with international guest speakers.
Postdoctoral researchers
Postdoc scientists join AD®ULT from different European, National and Regional programs, such as Marie Curie, Juan de la Cierva – Formación, Sara Borrell, or Junta de Andalucia. Also, postdocs are hired through grants. All postdocs have the option to teach 8 credits / year at the University of Granada. The Vicerectorate of Research offer different programs (e.g. fellowships for research stays or to attend meetings) and training courses for postdocs.
Tenure Track
The University of Granada (UGR) adhered formally to the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers in 2016. As a part of this commitment, the University of Granada launched a Tenure-Track Program for researchers that are incorporated to our departments, centers, institutes and research units through very competitive individual programs, such as, ERC-StG, Ramon y Cajal, Marie Curie and Juan de la Cierva – Incorporación. Thanks to this Tenure-Track Program, AD®ULT can guarantee a permanent position for these highly qualified researchers if they maintain high scientific standards. As a proof of that, AD®ULT has four Professors that were Ramon y Cajal researchers in the past and two Professors that were Marie Cure Fellows. Currently, AD®ULT has two active Ramon y Cajal Researchers and we have the commitment to recruit more researchers of these competitive programs.
Visitors
AD®ULT’s labs consider students and post-docs who wish to do their lab rotation (minimum 3 months). Students and scientists with support of the Erasmus+ program or Coimbra group are very welcome.
