Popular Science

Since 2016, I am member of the disseminators team of the Scientific Culture Unit of the University of Granada within the framework of the “Plan of Dissemination of Science and Innovation”, which aimes to disseminate the scientific activity that takes place in our laboratories amongst the society. Our main goal is to show everyone that may be interested the high relevance that Science has in their daily life and its impact on both the economic and social development.

Pre-CEEBI

The National Congress of Biosciences Students (CEEBI)  organized by students from the University of Granada, offers engaging complementary training for those in biosciences fields like Biology, Biochemistry, and Biotechnology. CEEBI serves as a meeting point for students passionate about research, science, and critical thinking, fostering collaboration, promoting complementary education, and connecting students with biosciences companies. I have been fortunate to participate in every edition of CEEBI, contributing through talks and workshops. In its third edition, I gave another talk about the scientific career on May 21st 2024, but with a more optimistic view than what I presented at EventEX.

EventEX

The Youth Association Event Experience Organization (EventEX) was born with the aim of both promoting knowledge and improving the training of students at the University of Granada. I was honoured to participate with a talk about the odyssey of the scientific career in their “Cycle of Scientific Conferences” on December 9th 2021. My talk at the 6th edition of the prestigious Popular Science event “Desgranando Ciencia” on November 22nd 2019 . It was a great pleasure to have the opportunity of meeting some of the most important Spanish popular scientists!
