Sergio Guerra

About

I am FPU predoctoral fellow at the Department of Philosophy I, University of Granada, Spain, working under the supervision of Neftalí Villanueva. My area of interest is the philosophy of language and more specifically the semantics of propositional attitude reports, topic on which I am writing my PhD dissertation. I am also particularly interested in how philosophy can account for the political aspects of our linguistic and epistemic practices. Before starting my PhD, I completed my undergraduate degree in Philosophy (with an extraordinary end-of-degree award) at the University of Granada. My final thesis (with honors), supervised by Neftalí Villanueva, consisted of an epistemic explanation of asymmetric polarization in the United States. After graduating, I did a Master’s degree in Logic and Philosophy of Science (language and mind module) at the University of Granada. In my Master’s thesis, supervised by Víctor Fernández Castro and Neftalí Villanueva, I argued against the first-order analysis of propositional attitude reports.
