Federico García Lorca (1898-1936), the Spanish poet and playwright, was born in Granada, and throughout his life kept a strong link with the city. An emblematic member of the "Generation of '27" group, he is widely considered one of the authors that has best captured Spanish popular culture in the twentieth century. Walking tour of Albayzin and Sacromonte, the most emblematic districts in Granada. The Alhambra and the Albayzin, situated on two adjacent hills, form the medieval part of Granada. The residential district of the Albayzin is a rich repository of Moorish vernacular architecture declared a World heritage site in 1994.
