Alberto Martín-Molina (Granada, Spain 1974) is Associated Professor at the Applied Physics Department, University of Granada (UGR) and he is a research member of the Institute Carlos I for Theoretical and Computational Physics (iC1). He has published 70 peer-reviewed international publications (80% in Q1) and 4 international peer-reviewed book chapters, having h-index=30.

His current research work consists in the application of his theoretical, experimental and computational experience to biocolloidal system in Biomedicine. Following his postdoctoral stay (2003-2005) at the “Laboratorie de Physique Statistique de l’Ecole Normale” of Paris (France), where he joined EU-FP5 project “Nanocapsules with Functionalized Surfaces and Walls” (HPRN-CT-2000-00159), he built a new research line around biophysics of lipid complexes at the UGR.
He has participated in 16 research projects including 4 transfer of knowledge actions. He has collaborated with scientists from more than a dozen of international research centres as well as with numerous Spanish centres. He has supervised 3 PhD students (international awarded) and has been principal investigator of the following projects:
- “Physicochemical properties of DNA-lipid complexes with biotechnology applications”(P09-FQM-4698). Junta de Andalucía (2010-2014)
