DR. GIANLUCA RONCALLI
I have worked in behavioural ecology, mainly by study the behavioural and physiological aspects of brood parasitism and nest predation by using an experimental approach. One of the main goal of my studies was to understand the adaptive role of the behavioural and eco-physiological costs in the interspecific biological relationships in an evolutionary perspective.
Actually I am working on movement ecology in waterfowls, particularly investigating the role of mallards’ movement behaviour in the spread of influenza A virus (and others, e.g. West Nile virus) in the northern region of Italy.
