María Dávila. Málaga, 1990.
Holds an international PhD in History and Arts from the University of Granada (2019) and a degree in Fine Arts at the University of Málaga (2013), where she obtained the Extraordinary Degree Award. After completing the Master’s Degree in Art Production and Research at the University of Granada (2014), she has combined her artistic activity with university research, awarded with the FPU research grants from the Ministry of Education and Culture.
She has held several solo exhibitions in galleries in Malaga and Granada, including Dramatis personae (2015), the result of the Production Grants of the INICIARTE Program of the Junta de Andalucía; Anónimo (2017), at the CajaGranada Foundation, the result of artistic research carried out in collaboration with the University of Granada; and Post scriptum (2017), at the Sala Ático del Palacio de los Condes de Gabia. His work has been shown nationally and internationally, highlighting the XVII Biennial of Young Creators of Europe and the Mediterranean, (Milan, 2015); the traveling exhibition Made in Spain: Periplo por el arte español de hoy (Venice, 2015) or the International Contemporary Art Fair YIA Art Fair (#09 Brussels, #11 Paris, 2017, P/CAS Paris, 2019). His work has been recognized, among others, with the First Malaga Crea Visual Arts Award (2014), the Art<35 Award of the Banco Sabadell Foundation and Sala Parés (2018) and the Awards for Artistic Creation of the Diputación de Granada (2020).

Doctora internacional en Historia y Artes por la Universidad de Granada (2019) y licenciada en Bellas Artes por la Universidad de Málaga (2013), donde obtuvo el Premio Extraordinario de Licenciatura. Tras realizar el Máster en Producción e Investigación en Arte de la Universidad de Granada (2014), ha compaginado su actividad artística con la investigación universitaria, becada con las ayudas a la investigación FPU del Ministerio de Educación y Cultura.
Ha realizado varias exposiciones individuales en salas de Málaga y Granada, entre las que destacan Dramatis personae (2015), fruto de las ayudas a la Producción del Programa INICIARTE de la Junta de Andalucía; Anónimo (2017), en la Fundación CajaGranada, fruto de la investigación artística realizada en colaboración con la Universidad de Granada; y Post scriptum (2017), en la Sala Ático del Palacio de los Condes de Gabia. Su obra se ha mostrado a nivel nacional e internacional, destacando la XVII Bienal de Jóvenes Creadores de Europa y el Mediterráneo, (Milán, 2015); la muestra itinerante Made in Spain: Periplo por el arte español de hoy (Venecia, 2015) o la Feria Internacional de Arte Contemporáneo YIA Art Fair (#09 Bruselas, #11 París, 2017, P/CAS París, 2019). Su obra ha sido reconocida, entre otros, con el Primer Premio Málaga Crea de Artes Visuales (2014), el Premio Art<35 de la Fundación Banco Sabadell y Sala Parés (2018) y los Premios a la Creación Artística de la Diputación de Granada (2020).
