María Dolores Gallego. Torreperogil (Jaén), 1988
Artista visual Doctora en Historia y Artes con Mención Internacional por la Universidad de Granada. Ha realizado estancias internacionales en prestigiosos centros de investigación, creación y educación artística superior de Atenas (Grecia), Roma (Italia), Milán (Italia), São Paulo (Brasil) y Bucarest (Rumanía).
Actualmente, compagina su producción artística con la investigación en diversos proyectos de I+D+i nacionales e internacionales, la docencia como profesora del Departamento de Pintura de la UGR y la gestión cultural como Coordinadora de Comisariado de Exposiciones y Comunicación de la Facultad de Bellas Artes de Granada. También es miembro del Grupo de investigación HUM 611 “Nuevos materiales para el arte contemporáneo” y de la Cátedra de Innovación en Artesanía, Diseño y Arte Contemporáneo de la UGR.
Desde 2008 hasta la actualidad, sus obras pictóricas han sido exhibidas en más de 80 exposiciones que han tenido lugar en galerías, museos, bienales y ferias de arte de España, Portugal, Italia, Grecia, Jordania, Brasil, Suecia y Estados Unidos; siendo galardonada con diversos premios nacionales e internacionales.
También ha sido convidada a participar como artista invitada en el VI Symposium Internacional de Pintura 2024 de Portimão (Portugal), en la XXV DMencia 2023 – Muestra de Arte Contemporáneo de Doña Mencía (Córdoba, España), en el International Art Symposium 2016 of Amman (Jordania) y en la VIII Mostra Art For Women 2014 de MOSTRAMI en Milán (Italia).
En suma, sus obras forman parte de las colecciones de arte contemporáneo de la Universidad de Jordania, de la Universidad Federal de São Paulo (Brasil), de la Universidad de Granada, de la Universidad de Jaén, de la Universidad Internacional de Andalucía – UNIA, del Ayuntamiento de Granada, del Ayuntamiento de Doña Mencía, de la Fundación Sierra Elvira, de la Fundación OMNIA; y de colecciones privadas de España, Italia, Omán y Grecia.

Visual artist with a PhD in History and Arts with International Mention from the University of Granada. She has made international stays in prestigious centres of research, creation and higher artistic education in Athens (Greece), Rome (Italy), Milan (Italy), São Paulo (Brazil) and Bucharest (Romania).
She currently combines her artistic production with research in various national and international R+D+i projects, teaching as a lecturer in the Department of Painting at the UGR and cultural management as Coordinator of Exhibition Curatorship and Communication at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Granada. She is also a member of the Research Group HUM 611 «New materials for contemporary art» and of the Chair of Innovation in Crafts, Design and Contemporary Art of the UGR.
From 2008 to the present, her pictorial works have been exhibited in more than 80 exhibitions in galleries, museums, biennials and art fairs in Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece, Jordan, Brazil, Sweden and the United States; and she has been awarded with several national and international prizes.
