This is my academic web page at the University of Granada.
I am full professor at the Department of Geometry and Topology and principal investigator of the MEC-Feder research group Geometric Variational Problems, former coordinator of the Spanish Network of Geometric Analysis and of the Research Unit Modeling Nature, and member of the research group FQM 325, funded by the Junta de Andalucía. Currently I am working on partitioning problems for Euclidean convex sets and variational problems related to the area functional in sub-Riemannian manifolds, with special interest in contact manifolds and Heisenberg groups.
Since 2012, I am the Journal Editor of Analysis and Geometry in Metric Spaces, a journal devoted to the publication of cutting-edge research on geometric and analytic problems in metric spaces published by De Gruyter. Since 2022, I coordinate the Master on Physics and Mathematics (FisyMat) at the University of Granada.
