The 30th Nordic Congress of Mathematicians will be held in Akureyri, Iceland, by the Icelandic Mathematical Society. The congress will honour the memory of late professor Sigurður Helgason who would have turned 100 years old on September 30th, 2027. The event will be held in part at Akureyri Junior College, where Sigurður studied and became interested in mathematics. The Nordic Congress of Mathematicians is held once every four years under the auspices of the national mathematical associations of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden.
