Workshop 2023: Wittgenstein and the Concept of Woman – Perspectives from Ordinary Language Philosophy, Art and History

23-24 March 2023, Complutense University of Madrid

As in previous years, we invite students enrolled in a graduate program (master or PhD) or who have completed a graduate degree within the past years to present a draft with their academic or artistic ideas, related to the topics of the Conference or that tries to answer the questions we formulate.

The draft has to be a work-in-progress, not a finished article; and it has not a specific format, it can be a “classic text”, but, since our approach is intersectional, we also accept artistic formats. The participants will have ca. 10 minutes to present the draft (ppt presentation, poster or any other format) and will receive feedback and comments by the keynote speakers and conference participants.

Our invited commentator for the upcoming conference and workshop is professor Astrid Wagner, who is a Tenured Research Scientist at the Institute of Philosophy of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) in Madrid and a member of the Berlin Center for Knowledge Research. Her main research areas are Modern and Contemporary Philosophy (both analytical and continental and with an especial interest in Wittgenstein’s work), philosophy of language and culture, transcendental philosophy, phenomenology and pragmatism, philosophy of perception and aesthetics.

Apply by 15 October through this form
