Bio

I work as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Geography, University of Granada, Spain; and also as a consultant for the UNDP’s Roster of Experts in Extractive Industries (Crisis Response Unit).

I develop my research work at the Peace and Conflicts Institute, University of Granada; and within the South Training Action Network of Decoloniality (Stand UGR) and the NGO Asociación Solidaria Andaluza de Desarrollo (ASAD).

My research focuses mainly in the analysis of Socio-Environmental Conflicts related to energy sources and resources extraction, within the framework of Political Ecology.

My research interests also include Peace and Conflict Studies and Human and Critical Geography. I teach different courses related to the topic of Socio-Environmental Conflicts, both at undergraduate and graduate level, and I have supervised a number of graduate and Master’s thesis on the same topic.
