Lucía DeSoto

Lucía DeSoto, PhD, is scientific collaborator at Centre for Functional Ecology (CFE) of the University of Coimbra and visiting researcher at Department of Evolutionary and Functional Ecology of the Experimental Station of Arid Zones (EEZA-CSIC).

She is a plant ecologist mainly interested in the study of the vegetative growth under different perspectives, for instance, reproductive costs, climate conditions, population dynamics and other ecological pressures that drive plant growth. This holistic approach has let her work in different research fields, such as dendrochronology, wood anatomy or spatial and image analyses.
