Doctoral course
Prof. Massimiliano Berti
Many problems in analysis can be formulated as an implicit function problem. If the linearized operator is unbounded the standard implicit function theorem in Banach spaces fails and more sophisticated iterative schemes to prove the existence of a solution have been developed starting with Nash and Moser (and Kolmogorov).
In this course it will prove an implicit function theorem of Nash-Moser type and discute applications.
