Resumen:
We start with analyzing the dynamics of the renewal equation, so-called McKendrick-Von Foerster equation, that is a simple well-known model for structured population dynamics. Also, we look at some extensions to neuron population models by considering birth/death rates and adaptation/fatigue properties. Steady states, existence, well-posedness and long time behavior of solutions will be studied.
