Tenure track position at Wien

We invite applications for a Laufbahnstelle (comparable to a tenure track position). The successful candidate will have a proven track record of internationally recognized research in Algebra or a related field.

Further requirements:

  • Organizational skills and ability to work in a team, experience in conducting independent research projects is an advantage;
  • Ability and willingness to teach students at all levels, mathematics majors as well as mathematics units for non-math students, substantiated, for example, through teaching evaluations;
  • Ability and interest in supervising student projects, including Bachelor, Master and Doctoral dissertations.

Preference will be given to candidates whose portfolio demonstrates active research as well as interest in and readiness for scientific cooperation with colleagues of the research group “Algebra” of the institute, and whose teaching record demonstrates strong commitment to teaching students at all levels.
