End of appointment: 31.12.2016

The successful applicant will carry out research in the research group
‘Geometric Analysis’ of Klaus Ecker within the SFB (collaborative research
centre) of 647 Space – Time -Matter (which ends on 31.12.2016).

Prerequisite: Ph.D. in Mathematics
Desirable qualifications: Research knowledge as proven by results in one or
more of the following areas:

• Theory of geometric evolution equations (Ricciflow, mean curvature flow)
• Minimal surface theory.
• Of particular importance for the subproject C8 of the SFB 647 are aspects of the regularity theory for the geometric problems. Good knowledge of geometric measure theory would be valuable.
