The group of Singularities of the Instituto de Ciências Matemáticas e de Computação, Universidade de São Paulo (ICMC-USP), in São Carlos, Brazil, welcomes applications for a one-year post-doctoral position in Singularity Theory, with the possibility of an extension for one more year.
The research activities are related to the FAPESP Thematic Project «New frontiers in the Theory of Singularities» (process 2019/21181-0), under the coordination of Professor Regilene Delazari dos Santos Oliveira, and will take place at ICMC-USP in São Carlos.
The research will be supervised by Professor Maria Aparecida Soares Ruas and will focus on the investigation of «Lipschitz geometry of singular sets and maps».

This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationalities. The selected candidate will receive a Post-Doctoral fellowship from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) in the amount of BRL 9,047.40 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent in items directly related to the research activity. The implementation of the grant is subject to the approval of the selected candidate by FAPESP.
