This workshop is the seventh meeting of the FDA working group of the Spanish Society of Statistics and Operations Research (SEIO) (http://FDA.seio.es). This meeting is co-organised with the Instituto Flores de Lemus (UC3M).
There will be a plenary talk by Professor Jeff Goldsmith (Columbia University) followed by shorter related presentations and a panel discussion. Also, there will be two applied tutorials. The first is an introduction to FDA with the online application statfda (www.statfda.com) and it will be provided by Manuel Escabias (University of Granada) and M. Carmen Aguilera (UC3M). The second one is based on variable selection in functional regression and it will be provided by Jeff Goldsmith. Registration is free. Free attendance until full capacity of computer room.
