Singularities at the Boundary for Mean Curvature Flow.

Abstract: In this talk, I will describe MCF for surfaces with boundary. Under mild hypotheses, one has regularity at the boundary for all times. However, i will show that (without those hypotheses), interesting boundary singularities do occur. I will also discuss applications of MCF with boundary to some old questions in minimal surface theory.
