Title: A duality result for (dual) quasi-bialgebras
Speaker: Paolo Saracco, Universidad de Torino (Italia)
Abstract: The classical notion of the finite dual coalgebra of an algebra over a field $\Bbbk$ permits to define a duality between algebras and coalgebras, that suitably descends to bialgebras and then to Hopf algebras. The aim of this talk is to show how Michaelis's extension of the finite dual allows us to develop a duality between the category of quasi-bialgebras and a full subcategory of the dual quasi-bialgebras' one, whose objects are called split dual quasi-bialgebras and that will be introduced contextually. Furthermore, a (counter)example will be provided to show why one cannot expect a better result from this approach, by proving that split dual quasi-bialgebras form a proper subcategory of the dual quasi-bialgebras' one.
