Olga Campos Serena is an Assistant Professor-non-tenure track at the Department of Philosophy I of the University of Granada. She is a member of the work team of the Unit of Excellence on controversy and public debate FiloLab. Her main area of expertise is the theoretical-practical implications of the debate on moral rights of non-human animals. She has co-authored the monograph (with Francisco Lara) Sufre, luego importa. Reflexiones éticas sobre los animales (2015). She is also a member of the editorial board of scientific journals such as Daimon, Gazeta de Antropología, Fair Play and Arbor.
Areas of research
Normative incoherence of the rationalistic ethical paradigm.
Ethical sentiocentrism and its theoretical-practical implications in the context of equality.
Thanatos ethics beyond the homo sapiens: deprivationist approaches to the moral consideration of the death of sensitive animals.
Ethical aspects of cognitive bioenhancement in relation to the plausibility of the justification of a non- specieistic gradation of life’s value.
