Antonio Bononcini Stabat Mater,St John’s College Cambridge

 

Antonio Maria Bononcini ( Modena , 18 de junio de 1677 – Modena, 8 de julio de 1726) fue un violonchelista y compositor italiano. Hijo de Giovanni Maria Bononcini y hermano de Giovanni Bononcini , se formó inicialmente con su padre. Posteriormente, y en compañía de su hermano, estudió con GP Colonna a Bolonia. En 1690 entró a formar parte de la orquesta del cardenal Pamphili en un cargo que preservar hasta el 1693 y en un tiempo en que comenzó a componer forma regular. A partir del 1694 constar como violonchelista en Roma entrante, en 1696, en la Congregazione di Santa Cecilia . Alrededor de 1700 viajó a Viena donde trabajó conjuntamente con su hermano participando en diversas representaciones en toda Europa. En 1705 fue nombrado maestro de capilla al servicio del futuro Carlos IV en un periodo de gran actividad compositiva. En 1710, y gracias a los méritos alcanzados, el emperador Joseph I lo nombró » compositor del emperador «. Sin embargo, la muerte repentina de su protector y la posterior coronación de Carlos IV provocó la suspensión de sus cargos. En 1713 volvió a Italia y se estableció definitivamente en Modena donde se retiró con su familia. Sin embargo, no dejó de componer música y fue publicando varias óperas muchas de las cuales se representaron en varias ciudades italianas. Alrededor de 1721 fue nombrado maestro de capilla de la corte de Modena en un hecho que despertó su interés por la música religiosa la que mereció los máximos elogios de un joven y aún desconocido Padre Martini . Antonio Maria Bononcini murió en Módena en julio de 1726.

José de Nebra – VENDADO ES AMOR, NO ES CIEGO

 

José de Nebra Blasco  ( Calatayud , 6 de enero de 1702 –  Madrid , 11 de julio de 1768) fue un compositor y organista español, considerado una de las figuras más notables de su tiempo. Se formó musicalmente con su padre  José Antonio Nebra , organista titular de la  Catedral de Santa María y San Julián  de Cuenca. A los 17 años recibió un primer encargo como primer organista del  Monasterio de las Descalzas Reales  de Madrid. Cinco años más tarde recibió el mismo nombramiento en la Capilla Real y tras el devastador incendio de 1734 del  Real Alcázar  de Madrid se encargó de recuperar y restaurar los fondos musical de la institución. Su contribución musical fue determinante a la hora de introducir reformas estéticas y formales en el seno de la escuela musical española del siglo XVIII. Fue principalmente autor de gran cantidad de obra religiosa así como secular, destacando las decenas de zarzuelas que escribió. Sus hermanos  Francisco Javier Nebra Blasco  y  Joaquín Ignacio Nebra Blasco  fueron también organistas y compositores. José de Nebra murió en Madrid en julio de 1768.
